My name is Steve Wilson and I am a forester.  I received a B.S. Degree in Forest Land Management from N.C. State University in 1977.  Since that time I have been employed in state, industrial and private forestry.  My first job was with the Virginia Division of Forestry in Charlottesville, Virginia.  I was initially employed within the marketing and utilization department, working with lumber and furniture mills throughout Virginia.  Later I was appointed urban forester for the city of Richmond, Virginia. In 1983 I went to work with Canal Wood Corporation where I gained a valuable education in logging, marketing and timber inventory.  I began my consulting business in

1991 and have been working with private and corporate clients ever since with the goal of providing my clients with the knowledge and experience I have gained during my career.

Over the years I have met and worked with some of the finest timber industry representatives, procurement foresters, state forestry employees, site preparation and construction contractors, tree planters and surveyors.  Working with these professionals has benefited my clients by knowing who to call upon when a particular request is made.
